Mechanical Design Engineer
We are looking for an individual with mechanical/mechatronic design experience, preferably from the automation industry. In this role you will be planning, leading, executing the mechanical design work in the project team. You will be part of a cross functional project team together with System engineers, Automation Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers etc.
Background and Skills
To be successful in this role, we want you to have a clear drive and experience of product development. You need to have a good understanding of automation technology and processes for efficient product development. Your background is from product development that includes all steps from concept to product on market. You are used to work with international customers, work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- To develop, design and document technical solutions according to requirements.
- To plan and perform the tasks within mechanical design, needed to succeed with the project
- Act as team leader for the design engineers in the project team
- Be the technical expert in one or several areas within Graniten’s technologies.
- Have the technical contact with suppliers of components
- Support of calculations for quotation work
Personal qualification
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 3 Years’ experience within product development
- Experience from 3D CAD systems and PLM tools
- Demonstrated ability to work and lead highly technical teams
- Broad knowledge with automation industry and mechatronics technologies
- Broad knowledge within design development and manufacturing technologies
- Problem-solving and client service orientation
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients
- Team player who embraces responsibility and wants to be part of a winning team
