The role

We are looking for colleagues to join our Automation team! In this role you will be a key player in developing Granitens products in order to fulfill our vision: to become one of the most innovative automation company in Europe. Together with a skilled team you will work at the forefront of automation technology. 

Background and Skills  

To be successful in this role, we want you to be a self starter with a passion for technology, innovation and product development. We are looking for someone either fresh out of university or with a couple of years experience. You probably have an engineering degree within automation, mechatronics or similar. We are using systems from Beckhoff, ABB and COPA data, experience from these are seen as meritorious. To be able to deliver projects on time is crucial since work at Graniten is fast paced. It goes without saying that you have a genuine interest in robotics, PLC and SCADA/HMI.

Responsibilities  

As an Automation engineer at Graniten you will actively work to ensure that the company is at the forefront of innovative technology solutions.

You will work with and be responsible for: 

  • Product development together with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop concepts and solutions based on demands and needs from customers
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing products
  • Understand and interpret requirements from customers
  • Risk analysis
  • Develop efficient processes for the automation team, this includes being involved in choosing suitable components or software solutions to be used in products or equipment.
  • Project breakdown and reporting which includes technical documentation 
  • Support Service & Aftermarket department when needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Master's degree preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives. 
  • Knowledge with automation technology 
  • Problem-solving and client service orientation 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients. 
  • Team player who embraces responsibility and wants to be part of a winning team.
